Autonomy Software Engineer - Full Time Employee Position (2023)
Developed autonomy and planning paradigms for an early-stage multi-agent coordinated flight application.
Applied autonomous algorithms from academia into industry setting, highlighting practical implementation benefits and drawbacks.

Robotic Applications Software Engineer - 6 Month Internship (2025)
Developed Search & Identification pipeline for finding gas leaks in an open environment.
Developed ROS2 Nodes on Navigation and Data Processing, Calibration, Route Planning.
Increased ANYmal autonomous and industrial inspection capabilities from existing software stack, to manage gas leak detection in open areas and reducing customer friction when designing gas leak detection missions.
Developed surface-area coverage field of view algorithms from first principles. Problem: Obtain full sensor coverage of a large volume.
Delivered a full hardware-demo grade solution using existing in-company autonomy blocks and self-developed ROS2 Nodes.
Scope of hardware demo was from user inputs (defining volumes of interest to inspect, within an enclosed area) to direct outputs (areas of risk for gas leaks from acoustic data on the operator GUI after mission complete).
Documented in internal company presentation (30 min).

Robotics Software Engineer - 5 month part-time Contract (2024)
Developed ROS2 Modules for Operator Interaction, controllability, and user UI of a 6DOF Soft Snake-like robot.
Developed webapp for a simplified user control, eliminating need for additional installations to control the robot.
Wrote a diagnostics module for engineering-facing debugging, and user error notifications.
Delivered Hardware-ready and demo-ready demonstrations, through improved UI and live showcase.

Avionics Hardware Engineer - 3 Month Internship (2021)
Two summers at Blue Origin! Was part of the historic New Shepard first human flight mission in Summer 2021, and worked under the New Shepard group as an avionics test engineer. I got a return offer for the following Summer to join the Advanced Concepts Group, where I worked on robotic software for the Lunar Surface Manipulation System (LSMS) a crane-like robot.

Robotics Software Engineer - 2022 Internship
Developed a software controller for the LSMS robotic platform, entirely replacing the legacy MATLAB software.
In replacing the legacy MATLAB stack, saved the company the need to renovate the software license for the original controller developed by NASA.
Added three controller levels: joint-space control, task-space control, and teleoperated speed control.
Iterated across three design cycles: initial MATLAB understanding, C++ ROS and migration to C++ with ROS2.
Delivered an internal demo of all three controllers working in real time on hardware by lifting heavy boxes. Documented in internal company presentation and 3min Video Summary.

Avionics Hardware Engineer - 2021 Internship
Drafted, designed, ordered, and performed a helium environmental test on flight-spec circuit cards.
Communicated and coordinated across procurement, hardware, testing, and material departments to supply the circuit cards and perform the test. JIRA tickets.
Wrote Python scripts to analyze days of helium testing data and effects on the internal MEMS clock and components.
Led continuity testing on ESD-safe test bench, and Helium exposure testing in pressured vessel.
Delivered an internal company report (50 pages) on findings with the avionics system, an internal company memo(3 pages), and an internal 3min Video Summary.

Flight Controls and Autonomy Engineer - 5 Month Internship (2021)
Tested core autonomy for the MATRIX Autonomy System under 5 design cycles. Contribution towards a pilot-free UH-60 Black Hawk Helicopter.
Each cycle consisted of over 1000 test cases of various steady-state and autonomous procedure operations, learned Perl Scripting to conduct tests and find anomalies.
Modified test cases to reflect changes to autonomy stack across each design cycle.
Wrote core autonomy stateflow functionality in Simulink for startup and liftoff operations in compliance with a documented procedure. (Follow order of indication lights, engine ready signals, etc.)
Learned about rotary wing dynamics and systems, control of rotorcraft and development of safety guarantees in autonomy algorithms.

Founding Engineer, Hardware Engineering - (2016-2019)
Higia Technologies (now Eden Med) is a Mexican startup focusing on the early detection of breast cancer. As of November 2018 it has been distinguished internationally and been incubated at Y-Combinator Accelerator. By November 2019 and my exit, it had raised approximately $ 14 million USD.
I joined as a founding team engineer while in high school, after being acquainted with the other co-founders through my school's FIRST Robotics Team. At the time of joining I was the youngest team member, and used my electronics skills to build up our hardware wearable technology.
Designed for manufacturing integrated wearable technology on flexible PCBs. Used 60 thermal sensors, 4 multiplexers arranged for persistent placement and tissue coverage.
Designed for manufacturing a data logging and bluetooth integrated module for mobile app connection.
Led design of ergonomic testing campaign. Validated hardware across clinical trials.
Assisted with creation of Pitch Decks, Operational Due Diligence, Hiring and Onboarding, FDA Compliance, and Procurement in addition to engineering responsibilities.

Our third design iteration and first sewn onto the undergarment cup. First version designed for scalable manufacturing in mind. Included thermal sensors, multiplexers. External module carried Bluetooth connection and data logging capability.
Fourth design iteration and sewn directly into the pad. My bluetooth/data logging module was now functional and also integrated into the undergarment. Model used for a 2000 user ergonomic trial, and model used until my exit in 2019.
